Mid-pelvis: Frog Maneuver

Frog Maneuver is a technique that combines both:

When the mother is confined to the bed and is in the supine position, it would be helpful to place a wedge on the left side of her back to ensure that blood and oxygen is not obstructed when she is lying on her back whilst doing the frog’s maneuver. The birth supporter starts with supporting both the mother’s legs in 90 degree flexion and during contractions, she moves them asymmetrically alternating between varying the degrees of flexion and external and internal rotation of the femur.

For OMP Active Birth Positions , OMP Pelvic Mobility Protocols and OMP Comfort Measures to be effective, it has to be done during contractions and used for 5-10 consecutive contractions to see if it is effective in enabling labor to progress.
